Sarah Cooney

Sarah Cooney, Chartered Associate member of the CIPD, is a business and people consultant based in Eastbury, West Berkshire providing coaching and learning solutions to a wide range of blue-chip organisations.
Over the past two years she has worked with Amgen, Astellas, Boehringer Ingelheim, Clipper, Ministry of Defence (DSDA), East Berkshire Primary Care Trust, East Dorset District Council, Game, Game Station, Givaudan, GSH, Kellogg's, Larkmead Veterinary Group, Lilly, Nexen, Patheon, Roke (Siemens), Skandia, South West of England Regional Development Agency, UCB Pharma and Virgin Media.
She initially spent eight years as a pharmacist within the NHS before joining Lilly in 1996, a 12-year career including managerial roles in Learning & Development and Organizational Development. At Eli Lilly she worked with a wide range of individuals up to vice president level.
She now works as an independent consultant and is an accredited business coach. Sarah is licensed to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and FIRO-B instruments, and accredited to run Situational Leadership® II, Crucial Conversations®, and Belbin Team Roles. She specializes in leadership development, interviewing skills, business coaching, talent management, team development and personal effectiveness. She is also an experienced Action Learning Set facilitator.
Sarah's aim is to provide relevant, high quality, practical coaching and learning solutions to her clients. She does this by taking the time to listen to her clients to identify and agree the underlying development need and the appropriate coaching or learning intervention. This may range from an off the shelf programme to a highly tailored solution in response to a detailed learning needs analysis.
Whatever the solution, her intent is to enhance clients' business capability and to produce sustained behavioural or attitudinal/psychological change in the workplace. And to have some fun and personal challenge along the way!
