Katherine Martin
Katherine Martin, Associate Member CIPD, is a learning and educational consultant. Over the past ten years Katherine has assumed a number of successful roles from management to mentoring, from coaching to training. Initially trained as a teacher and youth worker, Katherine has had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients from a range of backgrounds including the public, private and voluntary sectors. She specialises in behaviour management and conflict resolution as well as personal development skills.
Katherine is skilled at using Motivational Interviewing techniques to coach people through change in their lives and overcome their personal and professional barriers. She is also fully qualified to facilitate Restorative Justice Conferences as a form of mediation.
Katherine's most recent roles include Training Specialist at a large global manufacturing company, where she managed the global learning strategies for the North East of England (Newcastle UK). As part of her role she was responsible for creating the Divisional Learning plan, in line with global learning strategies. Whilst employed she successfully met and exceeded the annual learning goals.
Prior to this role, Katherine saw success within the public sector as a Learning Manager. She regularly met national progression rates with her learners and improved the learner through put by over 50%. In addition to this, she focused upon the quality of teaching and learning and implemented a number of initiatives, which were recognised regionally as best practice.
